The resulting soft tissue defect extended from the distal interphalangeal joint crease to the central portion of the eponychium with the resulting defect measuring approximately 2.5x1cm. reconstruction of the dorsum of the distal phalanx including the proximal nailfold was accomplished by local radial and ulnar advancement flaps to restore the eponychium.
