T.Z. is a 60-year-old right-handed gentleman sustained a router injury to the dorsum of his left hand while working in a wood shop in November 2012. The patient suffered open incomplete fractures of the metacarpal necks of all fingers with associated complete lacerations of the extensor tendons to the left index, middle, ring and little fingers with total loss of finger extension. The extensor tendons were repaired with an excellent functional result.
